Everyone at Dallas Road School is committed to including every child with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities in all aspects of school life.
We aim for all children receive a high quality and aspirational education regardless of the need or disability. We believe that it is vital that our pupils are equipped with the tools needed to become independent learners both in and out of the classroom.
We seek to ensure:
- Early identification and intervention for SEND so that progress and opportunities are maximised.
- All children can access a broad and balanced curriculum which is tailored to enable children to appreciate the purpose of their learning.
- An accessible learning environment which is designed to meet the individual needs of all pupils and minimise barriers to learning.
- We work in partnership with parents and carers; we understand the role this plays in enabling children and young people to reach their potential.
- The child is at the centre of all decisions and actions to meet their needs.
- We work closely with external agencies and other professionals to continually improve our provision for children with SEND.
Our staff are involved in the ongoing cycle of planning, teaching and assessing, taking into account individual pupil differences and needs.
